Dr. Maxwell Tran has a background working in Information Technology in Austin, TX. He worked as systems analyst for many years there. However, his compassion to improve peoples’ lives and better their health motivated him to leave the IT field. He moved to Houston in 2010 to pursue his ambition to be an effective hands-on healthcare provider at Texas Chiropractic College. He graduated from the college with a Doctor of Chiropractic degree in the summer of 2013.
Dr. Tran gravitated to the field of chiropractic because of his perspective on the centralized importance of the musculoskeletal and nervous system’s effects on all parts of the human body. Through manipulation of these elements, in concert with modalities such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation (E-Stim), improvements in wellness can be made such as increasing range of motion, relieving spinal pressure, and enhancing overall vitality. Nonetheless, Dr. Tran has a firm belief that collaboration among various other healthcare disciplines is, at times, necessary in the optimal and comprehensive treatment of patients based on presentation and examination.
He is an avid golfer, fitness enthusiast, and sports buff. Dr. Tran has volunteered his services at various sporting events throughout the Houston metropolitan area and advocates for athletes to receive chiropractic care in order to maximize their athletic performance. Dr. Tran is also Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) certified, Graston certified, and is planning to pursue his Chiropractic Certified Sports Physician (CCSP) certification.
